Union Station, Ogden
We took the kids to Union Station on Wall Street for a stroll. With much cajoling. We brought two cameras along.
We figured that if they got cold enough and hungry enough, they’d linger with us over dinner and congregate near us by the fire afterwards. Company, guaranteed. Maybe popcorn too. Can you believe that? I’m thinking of offering tutorials on manipulation…
What we got, when it was all said and done, were some sweet memories. I totally recommend this. Take your kids out in the cold winter air, just as the sun is setting and half an hour past dinnertime, point a camera at them, and see what happens. There is something magical about cameras.
Also, right here on my laptop, is a pictorial documentary of some of the sibling dynamics amongst my children. Lovely, with just a few hints of melancholy (say that like MegaMind would…Mell ON choly). It was fun for me to see this story unfold, and so…I’m sharing it.
Intriguing to me: How they gather. Who has found the spot, and how they arrive. What each focused on.
Oldest to youngest: Buglet, who, one four year old day, scolded me for accidentally sitting on her imaginary friend.
Dolly, whose first abandonment issue arose the week her older sister started school. Also, Dolly maintains her post as head of the CIA (Chicken Interrogation Agency)
Mr. Magoo, whose first and best passion was pumpkins. You should stick to pumpkins, Goo-ster.
SuzieQ, who brought a grasshopper named Rosabelle to church in a tiny jewelry box when she was four (four is such a wonderful age)
My little Punkin Pie (say that with a Southern Accent), who still is totally ok with being the baby. Hallelujah.
Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.

Thank you!
Beautiful family. Loved how the snapshots caught them in motion.
Frank had the camera…mostly. We share.
Beautiful pictures! What fabulous style your kids have, each so individual, I love it!

Just Pirouette and Carry On…
Thank you! They are all different.
Great pics-love the ‘realness’ of it. Isn’t it nice how different they each are? Such a shame we sometimes spend so much energy trying to be more the same. I have to say as lovely as 4 is, my favorite is 1 1/2 (except at church). Seems like the age you get first glimpse of their personality.

Ezra can still be a bit of a distraction at church. I try to catch his eye to tell him with my FACE to be good, and it backfires…he cracks me up. I’ve got to see your banana boat recipe, Shari. Sure do miss you.
Love the pictures….love the kids…my favorite part.
Thanks Mom! I owe you…
They are all gorgeous! Great family photos. Makes me wish I had more kids. 😉
